"It was understandably a worrying time for me when I had to return to work after having my first son. He was only 9 months old and the thought of leaving him with strangers filled me with regret. My local health centre recommended Artildas Nursery to me, so I gave them a call and arranged to visit them.
I was pleased with the set up of the nursery, which is very cosy and welcoming. Artilda’s arranged a home visit so that they could observe my son in his natural environment and he joined the nursery shortly afterwards. After his first day at nursery all my fears were washed away. My son was extremely happy and I was given a report on his progress. He was well fed, clean and constantly kept active. The staff taught him how to walk, talk and use the toilet. They developed his table manners and good social skills. The staff at the nursery were constantly liaising with the parents to enable them to provide one-to-one care, centred on the individual child's needs. Indeed my son looked forward to going to nursery everyday and developed a strong bond with all of the staff. It almost felt as though he was being left with an ‘extended family’.
